Star Wars exhibition

Our visit to the Lucasfilm Star Ward exhibition at the Sydney Powerhouse Museum. Awesome to see the real props and models used to make the original (and new) films. Also fantastic were the interactive activities for kids (young and old) such as building your own maglev and robots and playing with them. A fantastic experience which I think the mums and dads enjoyed more than the kids!

Flying the 737...sim

Had a blast flying the 737 simulator out at FlightExperience today in Sydney. Unfortunately, my pilot skills are a bit rusty, and we came in for a 'hard landing' into YBDN. But as my flight instructor used to say - 'good positive contact with the ground'. Another saying - 'any landing you can walk away from is a good landing'...

Every office needs one!

I went out to a new client site today for a meeting. When I got there,
the office was empty apart from a desk in a large room. I sat there for
a while, and noticed a door in the other corner of the room (see pic 1).
Curiosity got the better of me, and I peeped through the door, only to
find that the room next door contained...a helicopter! (pic 2).

Seriously! What else would you have the office next door?!?!?! Take a
look at the cockpit shot in (pic 3) - that is actually a mobile phone in
a holder next to the joystick!

Time to add to my guitar collection!

I'm sure Sam will not mind me buying THIS guitar?! It isn't off eBay and it costs WELL under the usual amount I spend...:)

Can't wait for Google to evolve and offer this service...to my wife!

This is definitely something that Sam needs - on a daily basis!

Caught In The Tropical Rain

Running between client sites this afternoon, I was caught out in a tropical shower.  Initially I started running for cover, but then realised that the sensation of water on me was...well...nice!  Yet another reminder why I love living in a warm tropical  climate.  If this had been an Adelaide or Sydney winter squall, I would have been freezing!

Instead I decided to enjoy the sensation and amble along in the rain.  Different story when I walked indoors to the air conditioned offices of course!

Update: Oops, forgot to credit the photo to StormGirl1 via Flickr!
